The package libtiff is a library of functions and a set of command-line tools for manipulating TIFF format image files.

This update fixes the following issue:

The tiffsplit command contained code that handled fixed-size buffers insecurely, possibly leading to stack overflows.

This update includes a patch that fixes the above-mentioned possible overflow.
